Overview

Excel Complete provides business consulting services focused on operations, systems, and strategy. We work with leadership teams to bring structure to workflows, improve decision-making, and deliver clear direction across the business.

Our work spans operations, finance, systems, data, reporting, and product or market decisions. We assess how the business is currently operating, identify what’s limiting performance, and deliver a concise roadmap outlining priorities and next steps. The goal is to quickly surface what matters most and leave you with a clear, actionable plan.

Business Audit & Roadmap

Excel Complete offers a structured approach to beginning a business consulting engagement with a Business Audit & Roadmap. This focused session is designed to assess operations, systems, and decision-making across the business.

We meet with ownership and leadership, review workflows, systems, and reporting, and identify the issues limiting performance, clarity, and execution. Where helpful, we also speak with key team members to understand how processes and systems impact day-to-day operations.

Within one to three business days, you receive a concise business roadmap outlining key findings, priority actions, and recommended next steps. This engagement delivers immediate clarity and a practical plan you can act on, whether as a standalone project or the starting point for broader consulting work.

Decision-Making

Many business challenges come down to making informed decisions under uncertainty. This can include prioritizing initiatives, evaluating tradeoffs, assessing risk, or deciding whether a change is worth pursuing now or later. Often, the blocker isn’t effort; it’s a lack of clear inputs to support the decision.

During the consultation, we help structure decisions using practical inputs such as basic market research, customer or pricing considerations, financial implications, and operational constraints. The focus is on clarifying options, understanding consequences, and identifying a defensible path forward. The outcome is not a verdict, but a clear decision framework documented in the roadmap.

Operations

Operations focuses on how work actually gets done across the business. This includes workflows, handoffs between people or teams, decision paths, and how day-to-day activities are organized as the business runs.

During the consultation, we walk through current processes to understand where friction, delays, or inconsistencies exist. This helps surface operational constraints, clarify roles and responsibilities, and identify areas where changes in structure or process would improve efficiency. The goal is to understand how the business operates in practice before considering system or tooling changes.

In many organizations, perational workflows live in Excel and have grown over time. These spreadsheets often contain business logic but lack structure and documentation. Our VBA developers can help surface and stabilize existing logic, providing clarity before larger decisions are made. When workflows outgrow Excel entirely, this work often becomes a starting point for our legacy application modernization services, ensuring improvements are incremental and aligned with how the business actually operates.

Systems Design

Systems design focuses on how tools, data, and reporting support the business. This includes ERP planning, financial systems, month-end close processes, reporting structure, automation, and how information flows between teams.

During the consultation, we look at where systems create friction rather than clarity, such as slow closes, manual work, inconsistent reports, or unclear ownership across tools. The goal is to identify practical improvements that increase efficiency, improve financial visibility, and support better decision-making without unnecessary complexity. These recommendations are captured in the roadmap so they can be evaluated and implemented deliberately.
